$1,200 Nikon 1 V3 Mirrorless Camera Offers 120fps Slow Motion Capture

Nikon has rolled out a new digital camera called the Nikon 1 V3. The camera is an interchangeable lens unit that claims to have the fastest shooting rate with autofocus tracking – 20 fps. The camera also offers 720p slow motion recording at 120 fps. Nikon touts that its new camera can track objects better than traditional D-SLRs thanks to an AF system that has 105 points of focus (when phase detection AF is used, it has 171 points).
 
The camera has 18.4MP image sensor, EXPEED 4A image-processing engine, and Wi-Fi connectivity. The Nikon 1 also has a variable angle, touch sensitive LCD.
 
Along with the launch of the new camera, Nikon is also making available the new 1 Nikkor VR 10-30mm f/3.5-5.6 PD-zoom lens that is said to be the world’s lightest interchangeable lens that has power-drive zoom functionality.

The Nikon 1 V3 will be priced at $1,200 when it goes on sale in April. Pricing is not currently available for the Pricing and availability for the 10-30mm lens.
