We first brought you news of the first major update to the Android Wear operating system back in early September, and today Google is making the update official.
As previously mentioned, the new update brings with it:
Google says that the first watch to support hardware GPS will be the Sony SmartWatch 3, and we’re assuming that the second wave of Android Wear devices that hit the market will also start adding the functionality.

As for when existing Android Wear devices like the LG G Watch, Samsung Gear Live, and Motorola Moto 360 will receive the update, Google says that OEMs will begin providing the free updates “over the next few days.”
