UPDATE: 64GB Zune HD Now Available, Priced at $349.99

Earlier this week, Global Tech News reported that the 64GB Zune HD made an early appearance on the official Zune website. Although the link to the actual product was inactive, Microsoft’s intentions were clearly made.

Today, Microsoft has officially confirmed the existence and upcoming release of the 64GB Zune HD. According to Microsoft, the new player will launch on April 12 at a price of $349.99. For comparison, Apple’s 64GB iPod touch rings up at $399.

In addition to the pricing and availability information for the 64GB Zune HD, Microsoft also announced that the existing 16GB and 32GB models will each receive a $20 price reduction.

Microsoft just let us know that the 64GB Zune HD is now available to order in Platinum, Black, Blue, Red, Green, Purple and Magenta.
